About me

 

Marie Motil comes from Los Angeles, California and has lived in Salzburg for 24 years. After graduating from Utah State University in 1994 with a BA in Liberal Arts/English and competing in the first division volleyball league in the USA, she travelled to Europe as a volleyball professional and decided to stay and enjoy the benefits of living and working in a European country.

She has over 20 years of teaching experience in numerous institutions and companies in the Salzburg region and currently teaches advanced English (Critical and Creative Thinking) at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Communication courses in companies, as well as private courses in her home studio. Her strength lies in creating new courses like Walk and Talk, TED Course or tailor-made courses to meet the needs of her clients.

Marie speaks fluent German and has a good ear for the typical mistakes between German and English speakers. She loves the outdoors and if given the chance, will drop everything and climb a mountain.
